Financial year calendars: why July to June beats January to December
A financial year calendar magnet runs July to June, matching the Australian financial year rather than the standard calendar year. Order by late May to have them produced and distributed before 1 July.
Who they suit
Accountants, bookkeepers, financial planners and finance brokers order them because their clients think in financial years. A July–June magnet lands as a useful working tool rather than a generic giveaway.
Real estate agents order them for a different reason: it gives a second calendar drop in the year, six months out of phase with everyone else's January mailout. Less competition for the same fridge door.
The timing
Working backwards from 1 July: allow 7 to 10 business days production from artwork approval, up to a week for delivery, and time for distribution. Late May is the safe order date. If you want them individually wrapped, allow 7 to 8 weeks and order in April.
The end of the financial year is also the busiest period for the accountants you are targeting, so landing before the rush rather than during it tends to work better.
Formats
DL rectangle and DL house shape (both 210 × 97mm) are the most ordered. A5 (210 × 148mm) suits a client-facing drop where the twelve-month grid needs to be readable from across the kitchen.
Same construction as our standard calendars: commercial-grade magnetic stock, gloss laminated.
